Unable to login after first installation on a domain controller

Thread needs solution

I installed Acronis Cyber Backup (Acronis Data Protection) on my test lab domain controller (Windows Server 2016). I tried to log in as a domain administrator, but the application would not let me in because I am not the administrator of Acronis itself (I think so anyway). I haven't found any documentation on how to create an administrator account before logging into the app.

I used to install this app on a non-server Windows. Several accounts were created by default, so I logged in as AMS user and after that added other admins in settings. But accounts are not created by default on a domain controller. Only a few user groups have been created, but membership in them does nothing for authorization.

Hello!

Just to be clear, are you installing just the agent or the entire management console onto your DC?

Whatever users/groups are part of the Acronis Centralized Admins where the management server runs should be able to log in as organisation administrators within Acronis. You can find this info in the user guide (25.1.1 Adminstators and units)

Hello, Peter!

I installed entire management console.

Thanks for the reference to the guide, anyway, as you can see in my second screenshot, I added myself to the list of Acronis Centralized Administrators, but still can't log in.

Have you tried logging in with domain\username, password instead of windows login? We had domain issues in the past that prevented windows login, but password login worked no problem.

How about the user the management server service is running under? What groups is it part of?

Yes, I tried to login using domain \ username, password instead of Windows login, but the same error occurred.

Management server service is running under the same user I tried to login, so he is a memeber of all the required groups as you can see in the screenshot.

Hello Дмитрий,

If the issue still persists, I'd strongly recommend contacting Acronis support team for investigation.
