Universal Restore Win 10 Intel RST VMD

Thread solved

Hello,

I'm trying to restore an Notebook to a newer Device.

The new on is a HP ProBook 450 G8 Notebook-PC (1A893AV)

A new Win 10 installation with this drivers sp136079.exe from HP is possible. I included this driver in UR but by the UR-Task it will not accepted.

Does somebody has any idea?

Best regards

Manfred

I find the solution by myselve. "Configure Storage Controller for VMD" must be disabled in Bios.

Thank you for sharing your solution with the community! I'll pass the topic to the RnD, probably we need to document it somewhere.

Hello. Disable VMD is NOT the solution, because on some laptops after bios update this option will turn on default value and you will get bsod with INACCESSIBLE_BOOT_DEVICE. For some reason UR can't use intel VMD driver, and i dont understand why, because same driver works with windows installation proccess.
