acrocmd remote control

Thread needs solution

Hi,

How can I remote control via acrocmd a computer booted with Linux media?

For example, I run this command from a computer A to control the computer B: acrocmd.exe list disks --host=<IP B>

This command is working fine with Acronis 11.x but I get an error "access denied" with Acronis 12.5

The 12.5 documentation is talking about a credential to enter but it is for a Windows computer with Acronis installed. Here I'm trying to control a computer booted with the Linux media. Is there a default password to enter?

Thank you.

Hello YouriDS,

Welcome to Acronis forums!

You should specify credentials in a format as instructed in the documentation: https://www.acronis.com/en-us/support/documentation/AcronisCyberProtect_15_Command_Line_Reference/#37525.html

The default username/password for Linux-based Bootable media root/root if you have not changed then when creating this bootable media.

Hello Maria,

Thank you for the info about the default credential.

Hello Maria,

Thank you for the info about the default credential.

I still cannot connect to the remote machine using this command and the default credential: acrocmd list disks --host=192.168.20.140 --credentials=root,root

An error occurred while executing the command.

You are correct about the credential it is working because I can connect via SSH to the computer.

I think the issue is not the credential but how to connect to Linux media because of the error message "remote access is denied".

I recreate the Linux media for the PXE server and this time I do not register the computer (192.168.20.140) on the management server (192.168.20.150).

Now I have no error but no result: acrocmd list disks --host=192.168.20.150 --service=ams --address=192.168.20.140

The operation completed successfully.

I have a ticket (04814017) opened 1 week ago and have no more reply there.
