Acronis Backup 12.5 Problem with a backup-plan, 5 machines, only one is doing backup

I have a backup-plan generated with 5 PC's.

I am doing a "Foldersave", that means, i only safe some folders from 5 PC's

and because the folder have the same name of all 5 machines, i made one PLAN

for this 5 PC'S.

BUT, if i start the plan, only one PC's files are backuped...!

 

As example: One Plan, with PC1, PC2, PC3,PC4 and PC5

Foldername of PC1 to backup: "C:\Productionfiles"

Foldername of PC2 to backup: "C:\Productionfiles"

Foldername of PC3 to backup: "C:\Productionfiles"

Foldername of PC4 to backup: "C:\Productionfiles"

Foldername of PC5 to backup: "C:\Productionfiles"

 

Set up all necessary settings and safe the plan.

NOW, start the Plan...

Result: Only the file of PC5 was backuped.

 

Nice Bug? Or is it a feature ;-)

Please share with us a screenshot of your backup plan and an activity log of the latest operation with this plan (where only PC5 is backed up).

I did some tests (build 16363):

  • Test1
    •     Setup:
      •         Add machines when creating the backup plan
      •         Add folder to backup per machine
      •         Run the plan
    •     Result:
      •         Only the last machine is backed up
      •         On the device\backup tab for the missing machine it shows the plan isn't applied
  • Test2
    •     Setup:
      •         Add machines when creating the backup plan
      •         Add folder to backup as a policy rule
      •         Run the plan
    •     Result:
      •         Only the last machine is backed up
      •         On the device\backup tab for the missing machine it shows the plan isn't applied        
  • Test3
    •     Setup:
      •         Add folder to backup as a policy rule
      •         Apply the plan in the devices tab to multiple machines
      •         Run the plan
    •     Result:
      •         Backup on all machines as expected
  • Test4
    •     Setup:
      •         Create file backup plan without specifying machines or items to backup (only where to backup which is required)
      •         Apply the plan in the devices tab to multiple machines, specify the folder to backup on that machine
      •         Run the plan
    •     Result:
      •         For the second machine On the device\backup tab it shows the plan isn't applied
      •         Though it shows in the plan details, meanwhile the number of machines it's applied to shows as if it isn't.
  • Test5:
    •     Setup:
      •         Create file backup plan without specifying machines or items to backup (only where to backup which is required)
      •         Apply the plan in the devices tab to multiple machines, specify the folder to backup on that machine
        •             Set different paths for the machines
      •         Run the plan
    •     Result:
      •         Backup on all machines as expected

In summary, it seems the problems seems to be one or both of

  • Setting the same path to backup on multiple machines (and not using a policy rule for this)
  • Setting multiple machines while creating the plan instead of applying the created plan later
