Clarification for difference between Acronis Advantage and maintenance
There seem to be multiple overlapping concepts for the eligibility of techincal support, updates, upgrades. Namely:
- Maintenance renewal
- Acronis Advantage
Looking at both of the above links I now can't figure out what's the relation between the two. I was under the impression maintenance is not required to recieve *updates*, while the Acronis Advantage page lists only some options as eligible for updates.
In our last invoice (for 12.5 perpetual workstation) it says "Renewal Acronis Premium Customer Support ESD", and links are included to Maintenance renewals. Meanwhile I found out Acronis Advantage is a thing so now I'm not sure what it is we actually have.
It's also unclear to me if maintenance is not renewed, can it be renewed later to be eligible for and upgrade to e.g. Cyber Protect 15, or do we need a licence upgrade at this point? If you have a perpetual licence but neither of the maintenance or acronis advantage is active, are you still eligible for updates?
