Converting Machine running Acronis console to Virtual machine

Thread needs solution

I have a Aconis Backup  Console 12.5  Build 9010 running on a windows 7 box . I was wondering if anyone has converted  one of these to a Vm to run on EXSI  and then upgraded to window 10 and had success.  Are there any instructions on how to do this?  . Do I need different licencing ? I would not think so As  it technically its doing the same job

Hello Scott,

thank you for posting on Acronis forums!

If I got you correctly, you want to create a back up of your Windows 7 machine where Acronis Management Server is currently installed (in order to perform it you will need Acronis Agent for Windows also to be installed on the same system, this will require a separate license). Then you want to convert this backup to VM, run it and upgrade the system inside this VM to Windows 10. Correct?

If the source system continues to run in the same network, you will get at least an IP conflict.

Could you please clarify the purpose of this process?
