Error: The server refused connection

Thread needs solution

I'm having trouble with a backup, I'm getting the error "the server refused connection". It works sometimes when I start the backup manually but it fails often when executed by schedule. Attached is the activity logfile.

The version is 12.5, build 13400. VMware ESXi, 6.5.0, 8294253.

You start the back-up process from the management console ?

You want to make a back-up for an VM ?

I get this error when, by mistake (on my DEMO environment), i create another server with the same IP, of course with different credentials...

Yes and yes. I forgot to mention it fails on deleting the snapshot so fully:

Acivity 'Deleting snapshot' failed. The server refused connection

Hello Bart.

Thank you for posting on Acronis forums.

The error message The server refused connection follows after the Failed to open virtual disk file one. Please check whether ports for creating VM backups 443 and 902 (to access the vCenter Server and ESX(i) hosts) are opened.

Please consult the respective KB article for more details: https://kb.acronis.com/content/1711
