Lots of #### .VMDK files left in datastores. 12.5 jobs shows 'Completed,Successfully'

Thread needs solution

good day folks....i found a thread in Acronis Busines , VM Protect 8 (circa 2012) where a few folks had VMs with dozens of VMDK snapshot files

well, here it is 2019/2020 and i'm on a fresh install of Acronis 12.5 (OVA mgmt) and vCenter 6.5 u2 , esxi same...and getting 'all greens' for backup jobs....but finding VMs needing consolidation , but i cannot do.... and so begins the round-in-circles of having to  1) move datastores , 2)migrate ESX host , even to have to re-boot ESXi hosts , to 'fix the problem' ...but then it has re-occurred some several months later.

very frustrating.  anybody else still having these issues ? is it App or VM or ESX settings to lower the amount of times this comes back to bite me ??

This issue requires a more in-depth investigation that could not be carried within this forum. I strongly recommend that you open a case with Acronis Support Team and collect ESXi logs right after this issue reproduces plus Acronis System Information gathered from the virtual appliance (Agent for VMware).
