Question about v12.5 Essential

Thread needs solution

Hi,
I am in mid of moving our client's backup software to a new company.
We have in the past used Acronis 10 and some 11.5 and found it to be reliable and simple to use except for the high costs, but now we have changed most of them to Essentials because of Office365, and the price for Essential seem to be more reasonable.
Last weekend I downloaded the trial version, it seem to work fine as expected but the interface seem to quantum leaped and I am not really keen on.
With the Essential license, could I get the older v11.7 software instead ?

The other question is, in the old days, or even now with other backup software, incremental backups are broken down daily, so each day the Sync software can upload these new ones onto our central SFTP servers as an offline assurance, but v12.5 seem to put them all (Master and all incrementals) into a single container, if I were to feed this backup to the SFTP server, does this mean each day the whole container will need to feed through SFTP or just the incremental parts daily ?

Thanks
Paul

Hello Paul,

welcome to Acronis forums!

With the Essential license, could I get the older v11.7 software instead ?

Yes, the downgrade to the previous version was possible. However, we do not recommend it since the end of support for Acronis Backup 11.7

does this mean each day the whole container will need to feed through SFTP or just the incremental parts daily ?

You can use an old Version 11 backup format for this purpose. However, please note that a .xml metadata file should also be synced.
