Re-Registering VMs on a new server

Thread solved

I have a couple of Hyper-V hosts and recently one of those hosts was rebuilt, upgrading from Server 2016 to Server 2019.

Once the server was rebuild, I re-imported the VMs in Hyper-V with the same ID they had previously.

The server's name has changed, and Acronis sees the refreshed server as a new server However, all the VMs show as offline, because Acronis expects to see them on the "old" server. They all show as registered against the agent on the "old" host.

I'm assuming I should be able to re-register all these VMs on the refreshed host, I just can't find how to do this.

Can someone please point me in the right direction?

Hello IT Manager,

thank you for posting on Acronis forums!

You should delete the old host from Acronis Management Console. Please follow Settings -> Agents -> select the old host and Delete it.
