Restored from Acronis 12.5 backup with a warning

Thread solved

Hello,

I restored an Acronis 12.5 backup image of a Cluster virtual machine to the same Cluster.  The process was successful but has a warning that I could not find any related document online.  Below is the log message related to the warning.  Can someone provide some advice on this?

Thank you

Linda

We strongly recommend that you integrate Agent for VMware with this vCenter Server. Otherwise, the hierarchy of the virtual applications and resource pools will not be restored during recovery. This may lead to unexpected errors.

Hello Linda,

welcome to Acronis forums!

You see this warning because you assigned your Agent for VMware to the VMware host.

We recommend assigning VMware Agents to vCenter so that Acronis Virtual Appliance can detect all VMs within your vCenter. In case you do not migrate VMs from host to host, you can ignore this warning and continue working with Virtual Appliance assigned to the host.
