Retry a cloud backup plan that failed due to a network timeout?

Thread solved

Hello all,

Recently we are experiencing a lot of cloud backups intermittently failing due to network timeouts. Specifically, the error is "Network connection failed due to timeout." We are investigating the underlying cause of the issue because the fix in the knowledge base article has not worked. In the meantime, we would like to set up a way to automatically retry a backup plan that fails due to this error.

I have made sure that the "Re-attempt if error occurs" option is enabled in the "Error Handling" tab of the backup options for the plan. However, this does not seem to actually retry the backup plan if the network timeout occurs.

Is there a way to retry a failed cloud backup plan automatically?

Thanks,

Lucas

Hello Lucas,

welcome to Acronis forums!

We recommend that you change the Number of attempts and Interval between attempts values as described in the documentation: https://www.acronis.com/en-us/support/documentation/AcronisBackup_12.5/index.html#36342.html

Hi Maria,

Thanks, I'll try that and report back on if it works.

Thanks,

Lucas

Look like Maria's suggestion worked. Thanks!
