Save one full backup from TIBX

Thread solved

Hello,

I have Acronis Cyber Backup 12.5 and I need to extract one full backup (end of year backup save) from a single "_.tibx" archive and I don't know how or even if it is possible.

So, is it possible to extract one full backup from a tibx archive?

Thank you.

Hi! This should be possible via Export operation, please refer to https://www.acronis.com/support/documentation/AcronisCyberBackup_12.5/#…

Thank you @Ekaterina.

The process for Exporting one full backup from a backup sequence (_.tibx) to a different location as a save for later backup is slightly different than the above reference.

Tested on Acronis Cyber Backup 12.5

  1. In Acronis Cyber Backup Panel go to Devices
  2. Click the desired machine/device and tap on Recovery
  3. Click on the GEAR icon and select Export
  4. Leave the Agent as is and click on Destination
  5. If you haven't already done this process, go to + Add location and select the desired destination (Cloud, Storage node or a new Storage node or a Network folder) DO NOT use the Local folder as it will save it on your source/agent machine
  6. Enable or leave it as is for the Backup Password
  7. Specify credential for the destination and/or source
  8. To start the Export process click START

Depending on the volume of the specified source backup it will take some time.

At my side, the process passed thru, from 0 to 100% very quickly, but then it stopped at 100% and freeze for a while, DO NOT cancel it or interrupt it. The process is still active and running.
Have some patience. It will soon finish and you can verify, in the destination path you chose, the export been done successfully.

Hope this helps others like me.
