An SSL error occurred with Error code: 30201

Thread needs solution

Hi, we use ESXi Appliance Agent and All-in-one Management Console. We updated all Appliance from 12.5.14330 to 12.5.16343. Then, all the backups are failed and showing "message: An SSL error occurred" with Error code: 30201" (Please see attached). We use self-signed certs on our VMware infrastructures. There was no problem before we updated. If there is something changed new build, can I working around this, please?

Hello Comwave IT,

thank you for posting on Acronis forums!

This error indicates that the ESXi host could not be reached (please see the previous line with error 0x53005e: Failed to open virtual disk file).

I recommend that you use OpenSSL for in-depth analysis, see Using OpenSSL to troubleshoot connection issues caused by firewalls and DPI software

just for my future reference, can you explain to me how do I know which message in the log is the real issue? I was assuming that it will be either the first or the last message. How am I suppose to know it's somewhere in the middle? The SSL error as actually showing the backup status windows as well.

by the way, my problem resolved. thanks

Aldous

Hello Aldous.

just for my future reference, can you explain to me how do I know which message in the log is the real issue? I was assuming that it will be either the first or the last message.

You are right. The last error message illustrates the issue. The previous is one is the issue cause and etc.
