Using Enterprise Storage for cluster nodes.

Thread needs solution

A partner wants to use Enterprise Storage that is provisioned via FC(16Gbps) to the cluster hosts(nodes) instead of internal drives for cloud storage. Is that supported for ACI?

Thanks in Advance.

Hello Yew,

Please ensure that all prerequisites listed in the following link are met before settling the ACI: https://dl.acronis.com/u/software-defined/html/AcronisCyberInfrastructure_5_4_admins_guide_en-US/#requirements.html

Once that is done, please refer to the user guide in the following link: https://dl.acronis.com/u/software-defined/html/AcronisCyberInfrastructure_5_4_admins_guide_en-US/#backup-storage-requirements.html

The available options for storage are:

  • Acronis Cyber Infrastructure storage clusters
  • NFS shares
  • Public clouds

For the public cloud destination, you can deploy backup storage inside virtual machines as well.

Based on your comment, it seems that the option for backup storage in a public cloud best fits your needs. Please check if this is the case and yes, this is the user-guide: https://dl.acronis.com/u/software-defined/html/AcronisCyberInfrastructu…

It is important to ensure that the solution being implemented is supported and fits our supported environments.

If you have any questions, please feel free to reply here or contact our support team at https://kb.acronis.com/content/8153.

I hope this helps!
