Backup Opttion to split vbackup - what happens if I change that later
I have some backup jobs, where I selected, to split automatically.
As the backup targets are HDDs and also a NAS, there is no split.
I sync the data from the NAS via INet to a remote location and encountered, that the size of the single files is a matter now.
What happens, if I change the option to split the files in 4GB chunks.
Will existing backups be affected or only future ones?
Currently I have a tibx file that is started on the first of the month and since then incremental and differential backups were executed.
So is any of the existing files splitted or only the next full ?
Thanks in advance
Sven

Hey Jose,
unfortunately : NOT...
I changed the setting from "automatically" to fixed size "8GB".
Then ran a full backup......size is - as before 36GB.
Then I cloned the plan and changed the backup file name --> Split to 8GB chunk works.
BUT:
If I change then the chunk size to 7GB.....the chunks remain 8GB...
I think this is an easy proof and very easy to reproduce,
So honestly spoken I cannot understand why such a feature is that buggy......
Sorry Acronis, are you serious?
I must setup a complete new plan and a new backup chain to change teh chunk size ?!?!?!
I use Cyber Backup Advanced in the build 15.0.31791, backup file version format is v12.
And no, i will NOT open a case with the support, because all tickets I opened in the past were seldomely solved, There are still open issues I was promised they will be solved and even in the last update still a bug is open that I report since 2020 (!!!).

And this was promised to be solved in the next update.....well.... again....NOT
