Cannot add Exclusions

Thread needs solution

In Protect / Active Protection you can add Exclusions. A process or a folder.

When trying to add something, a process or a folder, I click Add, then I enter the information, then click sur check mark at the right then click Done but it just spins forever even after 2 hours. Happens in Trusted or Blocked.

This is on a local NTFS volume since it only works with this: https://kb.acronis.com/content/69641

Everything is working fine. Running the latest 15.0 (32035). All Acronis services are running fine.

When running msp_port_checked_packed.exe, it says: "Can't resolve host https://mc.mlink-cloud.acronis.com. Please check DNS settings." but everything on the computer is running fine.

Hello Phil.

Could you please recreate the plan? That seems an issue with the backup plan if you can't save it.

Please check also if the following service is running and has the permissions:

active_protection_service.exe

https://kb.acronis.com/content/65663

If you use a local A.virus settle our services as exception there too:

https://kb.acronis.com/content/36429

Make sure the ports for the A.protection are open: https://kb.acronis.com/content/1711

Let me know if that resolved the issue.

If then, please contact our support with all those troubleshooting steps attached:  https://kb.acronis.com/content/8153

Thanks.

For absolutely no reason, it just started working now and there was absolutely nothing I did. Been trying to add an exclusion for 2 weeks now, tried everything like making a new backup plan as you suggested but it was still not working.

And it is working for other accounts too. We have about 10 different accounts and it wasn't working for any of them. But now it's working for everyone.

Hello Phil.

Thanks for the reply.

I am glad the issue seems to be gone.

If it re-appears feel free to comment here.

Thanks!
