Cyber Protect 15 - backup plan won't accept userid/password for USB storage

Thread needs solution

I have installed Acronis Cyber Backup 15 on server1. I also have installed the Storage Node feature to make this server a storage node as well. I also have USB connected to it to use as storage for saving backups etc. I Have deployed 2 agents to a few servers. 1 Windows Acronis agent version 15 agent and my Linux box has version 12.5 agent. I created a plan that uses the USB storage and when I try and put in credentials for it, it will not take them. Below is the error I receive.

The credentials for location 'bsp://xxxxxxxx/USB%20Extermal%20Drive' are not specified.

Troubleshoot

Ensure that the machine with the installed storage node is accessible, and the storage node service is started.

I have specified the credentials but it just keeps failing. using domain svc account. Is there something i'm doing wrong to get this working? Essentially it's a folder on the USB drive that is where backups are supposed to go.

Hello prezidentj33,

Welcome to Acronis forums!

Acronis Storage Node could work with local drives but is not designed to work with attached devices, please see the details: https://www.acronis.com/en-us/support/documentation/AcronisCyberProtect_15/index.html#adding-managed-location.html

An attached USD device could be organized as a separate backup location.

Troubleshoot

Ensure that the machine with the installed storage node is accessible, and the storage node service is started.

Have you checked this recommendation? Please make sure that the backup location specified in your backup plan is accessible.
