-----------------------------
i just received my Acronis Cyber Protect Standard Windows Server Essentials-License. Sadly i am not able to assign the license to my Server. It shows the Error "A device with an assigned license cannot be protected", even when the license is not assigned in the license page. Is it possible an old license ist blocking the new one or something? What to do from my side?
Beste Grüße und vielen Dank
Best regards an thank you!
Martin

Hello Peter,
the old Version was Acronis Cyber Protect Essentials. The Server is not virtualized, its full metal.
Did i order the wrong product? I am a bit confused with all the different Versions of Acronis. How can this be resolved?
Best regards
Martin

Hello Martin!
To be honest, I can't really follow the various licensing and edition name changes. However standard and essentials both cover server. Acronis support can clarify.
Did you have any recent service account and/or password change? The last time I had licence assignment issues was because of insufficent permissions on the folder where they would be stored. Unassigning also failed for me when this was the case.
Otherwise I couldn't find further information on the error either. Try contacting support.
