Hmm an error that exists since 12.5 is still not solved

Thread needs solution

He there,

in 2020 (!) I opened a ticket regarding wrong time in the daily status mails.

See

https://forum.acronis.com/forum/acronis-cyber-backup-125/email-notification-1-hour-too-early

In November 2021 (!) I received the information that the developers are still working on it.

Now in 2023 the problem also exists in V15.

Sorry for my impatience, but is it that hard, to solve an issue where a Mail has to be sent at the correct time according to the timing settings of the management server and write the correct time in the mail text?

S.

Hello Sven!

The agent  just reproduces the hour where the agent is installed, usually those issues happen in virtual environments when the hour changes but the VM's/host still with the old hour.

There isn't any known issue regarding that topic at the moment.

Please specify the following:

- Are facing that issue for 3 years?

From the system information provided in 2020, found that the machine is virtual.

What is the virtualization environment? (Eg: Is it VMware?)
If so, could you please check the following:

- Check if the virtual machine is installed with VMware integration services OR any integration service for the virtualization platform?

- Check if the virtual machine (Guest OS) and the host machine (Virtualization Server) are in the same time zone and time.
Note: For example in VMware, VMware Tools checks once every minute to determine whether the clocks on the guest and host operating systems still match. If not, the clock on the guest operating system is synchronized to match the clock on the host

Please check all those pre-requisites and if the issue persists after let me know so we can reach out with our support.

Thanks.

Hey Jose, I am now a bit confused.
You wriote:

There isn't any known issue regarding that topic at the moment.

In a ticket I opened on this topic (you see them) I was told that the developers are working on it.
But how, if there is no known problem....hmmm

Now to your questions:

- yes the problem persists since 12.5 and is still present
- the virtual machine is running under a HyperV Hypervisor hosted on a Windows 2019 Server
- all machines are in the same timezone
- the time on all machines is synced with the domain controller

The mails shall be sent on 8:00AM.
I receive them on 9:00 AM and in the text and message topig it states to be 8:00 AM.

So from my point of view: Daylight Saving is simply ignored.

Hello Sven!

Thanks for updating the thread. Please accept our apologies for the situation.

I have checked the records, and indeed, there is a known issue.

There are plans to integrate the solution in the next two builds, but as of now, there is no ETA for when that will happen.

I have communicated the issue to the team that manages the product to see if we can accelerate the process.

Thanks in advance!
