Manually upload existing backups into Cyber Protect 15

Thread needs solution

I have suffered a ransomware attack.  The only backups of my servers that were not affected are on an old machine that was not connected to the network.  Is there a way to manually upload these old backups into the cyber protect 15 database so I can attempt to restore from them?

Hello Paul,

That depends. Was the backup executed by an agent with version 15? If yes, you can try re-adding the location at https://kb.acronis.com/content/59863 and https://kb.acronis.com/content/61149.

If the backup was executed using an older version of the product, you must check compatibility with Acronis Cyber Protection 15 at https://kb.acronis.com/content/1689.

Alternatively, install the same version that executed the backup on the machine where the backups are stored and add the location. Then, create a bootable media at https://kb.acronis.com/content/60140. Afterward, you can use Universal Restore on the affected devices at https://kb.acronis.com/content/35681.
