yea i did, that kb did not really help me at all.
This was the issue and solution:
Installation has failed with in the logs:
AddMachineCertificate: Deleting certificate that begin with friendly name: GoDaddy root certificate certificate_wixCert_
AddMachineCertificate: Adding certificate: GoDaddy root certificate certificate_wixCert_1
MSI (s) (D0!54) [18:23:51:573]: Note: 1: 2205 2: 3: Error
MSI (s) (D0!54) [18:23:51:573]: Note: 1: 2228 2: 3: Error 4: SELECT `Message` FROM `Error` WHERE `Error` = 26352
AddMachineCertificate: Error 0x80070005: Failed to add certificate to the store.
After removing GoDaddy root certificate agent was installed successfully.

Hello Christian,
thank you for posting on Acronis forums!
This issue occurs when Backup Client attempts to install public Root-CAs to system Trusted Root Certificate storage, and fails because a certificate without a friendly name is present.
The workaround is to temporarily export affected certificates that do not have a Friendly name (certification store) and rerun installation. These certificates will be added back after reboot.
