Users Rights and Permissions

Thread needs solution

I would like to create users/groups of users that have read only access to backup plans, Backup locations, etc ... but can initiate backups and recover files if needed.

It seems with Cyber Protect Users have to be either full Admins, Read only, or auditors (which seems useless).  I would like to create users that can't change any configuration but still be able to recover files and browse backups without being full admins or giving them individual access to the storage locations.

Any ideas?

Hello Jason!

See Maria's answer in this thread: https://forum.acronis.com/forum/acronis-cyber-backup-125/management-console-nonadmin-users

In short you can't do this. This is my own reasoning but it's probably this way because restoring (especially system disk) is more involved, someone needs to provide hardware if it failed anyway or because you can circumvent system restrictions (like reading data from another users folder when you are not an admin).

If you strongly want to delegate restoring to users, wouldn't True Image suffice for these users?
