What is this "Machine Token" used for?

Thread solved

Hello. There is a field that corresponds to a "Machine Token" in my machine details using Cyber Protect Console. The data is hidden. I wonder what is this token used for exactly? Is it critical information? I just want to know that. Thank you in advance.

Hello Jason!

It's used for remote deployment in place of username/passwords.

See the attached image of "Add Device". At the bottom you can see registration token options

Thanks for the answer but it looks quite different in format to the one I generate in "Add Device", are you sure it's the same? It shows some base64 encoded info as machine token instead.

Hello Jason!

I guess not. Look at this: https://kb.acronis.com/content/56070

Apparently it's related to Large Scale Recovery (LSR). You can request large ammount of cloud stored archives using this machine token. See the section Large Scale Recovery.
