Non existing Office 365 mailboxes cause error messages and consume licenses

Thread needs solution

In Acronis Cyber Backup I save Office 365 mailboxes.

Some of those fail with SOAP errors: SOAP-Code: ErrorNonExistentMailbox. SOAP message: The SMTP address has no mailbox associated with it.

And those non existing mailboxes (a few deleted since a several month) consume licenses. (If I revoke the licenses, I get licensing errors, which is not better.

KB article Acronis Cyber Protect Cloud: Office 365 backup fails with "Cannot back up the primary mailbox of an Office 365 user" | Knowledge Base  recommends to hit refresh for the Office 365 organization group, but there seems not to be any refresh button.

Maybe instead of selecting the Office 365 group I could select single mailboxes for the backup plan - but this requires to manually add/remove mailboxes as they change in the Office 365 organization.

Best greetings from Germany
Olaf

Hello Olaf,

thank you for posting on Acronis forums!

(If I revoke the licenses, I get licensing errors, which is not better.

Please clarify the error message you receive when revoking licenses from unused mailboxes.

What is the exact version of Acronis Cyber Backup you use? This KB article is written for Acronis Cyber Protect Cloud/Acronis Cyber Backup Cloud products.

However, thank you for this note - will pass adding the refresh button to Office 365 group as a feature request.
