Multiple backup admins or single service account?

Thread solved

What is the general recommendation when it comes to registering devices and creating and assigning backup plans with regards to the user account that you use?

I have multiple admins in the company and occasionally have to deal with staff leaving. If this admin has registered Agents and created plans these are now tied to his/her account. What is the best way to deal with this? It doesnt seem possible to move the agents. Do I just leave the accounts once they leave or is it best to use a service account to perform registration of agents and backups?

If the latter, how would I go about using MFA with a shared account or do I then live without MFA.

Hi, Alphonso.

I suggest using a service account and usually notice cusotmers doing the same.

Depending on how many users are actually going to be using the service account 2fa may or may not be convenient.

For instance - you could use 2fa in a way in which the users interacting with the service account provide their browser as a trusted browser - and will therefor not be further prompted to authenticate with 2fa.
