ACPHO backup doesn't start - gets stuck when calculating data dimensions

Thread solved

I have the latest version of ACPHO installed on a Windows 10 PC. Starting from a few days ago, I've been experiencing issues in doing a complete 1:1 backup. ACPHO is set to manually start a complete backup to an external Toshiba 1TB USB 3.0 HDD. However, when starting, it displays "Calculating data dimensions..” (not sure this is the right translation since I have the Italian version) and gets stuck at this point. Data transferring never starts. It all went well until about 7 days ago, no updates since then have been released, now I have this big issue.

I've tried scheduling a new-from-scratch backup changing from “entire OS” to “Main HD” (C:), but the issue is the same.

How do I proceed?

Fabio, please check how much free space is available on your external Toshiba 1TB HDD storage drive as it is possible that you simply do not have sufficient free space to run the backup?

If you have another spare storage drive, then you could try making a new backup with that drive as the destination.

Hello Fabio!

I would also suggest checking if there is available space at the destination.

If there is, consider downloading the agent again from your account and repairing the installation. https://kb.acronis.com/content/60195

If the issue persists after repairing, please raise a ticket with our support because that would require an investigation: https://kb.acronis.com/content/8153

Best regards.

I've tried both repairing the installation and reinstalling ACPHO from scratch. The backup started to work after a fresh reinstall. Repairing/modifying didn't solve the issue. Thank you very much for your help!
