Acronis Cloud Backup Is taking very long to backup under 1TB

Thread needs solution

I started the Acronis Backup to the cloud last night before I went to bed. I woke up this morning to see it only backed up about 15 GB in the whole 10 hours I was asleep. The time estimation said the entire 990 GB cloud backup would take about 10 days. Is this typical? Whenever I search online, people claim it shouldn't take more than a few hours. What am I doing wrong?

If that's the first backup to the cloud it's expected. Please refer to the following KB: https://kb.acronis.com/content/7963

Follow https://kb.acronis.com/content/47145 to check the connection to Acronis servers.

If the checking tool displays any text in red color, it means the access to Acronis servers is still blocked in your environment. See what address and/or port are marked with red and make sure that other software, your router and Internet service provider are not blocking them.

If the verification tool does not produce any red-colored messages, proceed to the next step below.

This is my first backup and there is no red text. It has been 2 days and only around 100GB have been backed up. It estimates the remaining ~900 will take another 8-9 days. Since it's my first backup, should I just not bother raising a ticket and wait it out?

Hello Max.

I would advise you to run this  https://kb.acronis.com/content/47145 and check the speed of the data read/write. If the values match with the speed of the backup means that everything is ok. Please also check if the backup goes forward and doesn't get stuck. If you feel it got stuck for 1 day or something you can try to restart the same or contact support in that case.
