Acronis Cyber Protect Home cutting internet speed?

Hi All,

I have 2 PCs, one Windows 10, fully patched on the Windows Insider Programme (preview) and a 2nd one on Windows 11, standard updates and running as a file server.

Both of them have the same issue since the last (?) Acronis update: Internet speed is cut to the half or less.

On the Win 10 PC, I had less than 500Mbps of the 1Gbps. On the other with Win 11, I have even less, about 250 - 300Mbps. Both PCs were reaching full speed when started in the Safe Mode. Disable the "Protection" in Acronis didn't do a thing, even after a reboot.

 

Both are also running Norton, same Acronis, Acronis Protection disabled on both.

I uninstalled Norton on Win 10 = no change. Uninstalled Acronis = Speed was back. Installed Norton again = speed still at max. Re-installed Acronis = speed is still at max.

Something in the last 1-2 updates in Acronis seems to have an issue.

 

Anyone else have seen this? I've not uninstalled and re-installed Acronis on the Win 11 system, in case I might have to open log with the support.

I have not seen any reports of like behavior here in this Forum.

Hi, I couldn't find anything either. 

I did also uninstall and re-install it on my Win 11 in the meantime and the exact same happened. The  internet speed was back after the uninstall and stayed this way after the re-installation.

Maybe it was some odd issue between Norton 365 and Acronis, because that's pretty much the only thing the two systems have in common.
