Acronis Cyber Protect Home Office for Mac WILL NOT Clone or Restore Image to External USB Drive

Thread needs solution

My iMac is running Mac OS Ventura 13.4.1 and I am using the latest version of Acronis Cyber Protect Home Office for Mac. I have tried and failed to clone or backup and restore my SSD boot drive. The target drive is a 4TB Crucial SSD installed in a USB 3.2 2X2 enclosure. In both cases, the clone or the backup and restore completes, but the external USB drive will not boot my iMac. I have tried multiple USB drives in multiple enclosures, but they all fail to boot my iMac. WHY IS THIS HAPPENING? I purchased Acronis to backup my iMac, but it cannot create a bootable clone or restore my iMac to a USB drive that is capable of booting my iMac. HELP ME!
