Acronis has started crashing when trying to open task options

Thread needs solution

I'm using the latest build 40729.

As of this evening Acronis is crashing when I go in to task options. The options page loads but crashes before I can select anything.

Ive not had this happen before.

Ive reinstalled Acronis which offers to modify the existing installation.

The reinstall completed successfully and Acronis loads but it's still crashing soon after I click options.

Any suggestions would be welcome.

B R, I would recommend opening a support ticket with Acronis for any new problems arising with ACPHO so that they can investigate this in more detail, especially if you have done a repair install and assuming that you have discounted any other changes to your system in the lead up to this new problem?

This morning Ive noticed some scheduled tasks have failed to run so I'm going to uninstall completely and do a clean reinstall. Ive exported all my task settings so that will reduce the pain of haviong to rebuild them all.

Hopefully a reinstall does the trick.

Are there any special procedures or utilities to ensure all traces of of the current installation are completely removed? Want to avoid any historical info potentially corrupting a new install. Or am I just being neurotic?

The more recent version uninstallers have seemed to be much better at cleaning out all traces but you could always use the Acronis Cleanup tool afterwards if you wish - see link in my signature.
