Acronis reports error in file system but no details
Hello
I'm desperately searching how to backup my wifes PC but Acronis Cyper Protection home build 40729 stops and reports "Error found in the file system".
On suspiction I ran "chkdsk d: /F /R" and it found two defect clusters at the 1st run. The 2nd run didn't find any error.
But Acronis still reports "Error found in the file system".
What really disappoints me is: Acronis gives no specific hint which file or directory had failed: neither in the message nor in any of the log files. And it provides no tool to fix it. So I've no chance to find the reason and to fix it. So even to replace the SSD may or might not help here - because of this really poor error reporting.
Does anyone have a helpful hint here? Many thanks in advance!
Kind regards, Andreas

Andreas, please create an Acronis system report zip file then extract the disks.txt (disk report) from the zip archive and use the File > Upload option to attach it to this forum topic. This should help identify what the file system error is and lead to how to resolve it.
KB 58820: Acronis True Image: Collecting System Report
DA-API report version 3 PS Speed IFace Hs-Bs-Tg Model Num NT L9NO Size FSsize Free FS Type Label ABCHSV Error ---- ----- ---- ----- ----- ----- ------ --------------- ----------- ------ ---------- 1- d(4) GPT 1.8T RAID 0-0-0 ST2000DM006-2DM164 CC26 MBR ------ GPTpri -----v MSresr -----v -2 --GH 1.8T 1.8T 561G NTFS 07 NTFS, HPFS 2ndVolume.. --e--VPartition 1-2: file system FS: NTFS File System Error 0x70018: MFT bitmap is corrupted.Run CHKSK H: /F to try to fix the bitmap corruption issue.
The key factor here is that file system errors can occur in partitions which do not have an assigned Windows drive letter and therefore are not checked by using CHKDSK normally, so using the above disk report can help identify exactly which partition is causing the issue.

Hi Steve
Thank you very much for your reply. I'll definitely try it out and report what I find.
Kind regards, Andreas
