Backups Suddenly Disappeared

Thread needs solution

So my windows 10 system has two drives, the C/system drive and the D/data drive

I backup them up daily using cyber protect

My D drive has failed, however the system still functions because the system drive is fine

So I got another drive. Before connecting, I checked my backup in the app, found that I had a solid current backup.

I selected Recovery and then Drive to MAKE SURE I would be able to access only the D drive for recovery

This reported properly

So I shut the system down, and connected the new drive. System came up and I initialized and formatted the new drive properly

Opened cyber protect, selected my backup, and then selected Recovery

Now I get the message, No Data to recover yet

The backups are on a 3rd USB/Drobo unit. I confirmed they are there. I looked at the activity log for this backup and indeed it shows the backups. The "destination" is pointing to the correct 3rd drive and directory. The backups are there but Cyber Protect has forgotten they exist.

The s/w is installed on the C drive and can find other backups I've made

Not sure what to do to enable CP to recognize my backups so I can recover from them

Hello Carey!

Acronis Cyber Protect Home Office and Acronis True Image do not support cloning and disk/partition recovery if the source drive has different sector size than the destination drive: https://kb.acronis.com/content/45437

Solution: Select another disk as target. Both source and target disks should have identical sector size.

Please make sure that pre-requisite is fulfilled.

After that, please apply the following solutions:
