Connection problem when using bootable rescue usb

Thread needs solution

I have a new PC and I want to recover backups from the cloud and put them onto my new PC. I have reached the stage where I tried to boot the PC with acronis bootable media, which is on a usb, in order to recover backups from the cloud.

Having booted up, I was asked to sign in, and having done so I got the following message "There is a connection problem or an error on the server. Check your internet connection"

Any suggestions why I am getting this message?

Hello Graham.

I have updated the ticket raised by yourself.

You can expect a reply as soon as possible.

Meanwhile and if you didn't tried that method yet, please create a WinPE bootable media instead and retry the process: https://kb.acronis.com/content/69427

After starting the bootable media, allow it 2-3 minutes before opening the Recover or Backup dialog. Sometimes network initialization requires that extra time to complete. That would be especially useful for Wi-Fi networks.

Thanks in advance!

Graham, there was an SSL certificate issue with the Acronis forums on Nov 4th that could have affected other Acronis servers, this is resolved today so it may be worth trying again in case that issue caused the connection problem you saw previously.

Hello Steve. As far as I could review the issue just affected the KB and the forum. Thanks in advance!
