Corrupt file

Thread solved

If my Acronis backup succeeds, does that mean that all of my files are good, i.e., no bad/corrupt/unreadable files?

thanks...

Tyrone, welcome to these public User Forums.

Quick answer to your question is a definite NO!

Acronis is perfectly capable of backing up corrupt / bad files is they are present on your source drive, including any that might possibly contain virus / malware payloads.

Note: the above statement would apply to the majority if not all backup applications.

You should use the tools provided with your operating system to check for bad, corrupt and unreadable files, i.e. run CHKDSK /F on Windows, run disk scans from your security / antivirus software etc.
