Cost of Cyperprotect Home Office: 300% Inflation?

Thread needs solution

I was just billed for my Acronis Cyber Protect Home Office renewal. The price went up from $74.99US last year to $229.99 this year. What could possibly justify that large an increase. Still the name number of computers covered. Same amount of cloud storage, which I never use. Looking at past receipts, last year's price was discounted by 50% from $149.99, but that was a 3-fold increase from 2021, and that price wasn't discounted.

Again: what could possibly justify these extreme price increases? Sounds like price gouging to me.

We appreciate your feedback and take all opinions about our pricing into consideration as we strive to provide the best value to our customers.

We understand that you are concerned about the justification for such a significant price increase, especially given that the number of covered computers and the amount of cloud storage remain the same. We apologize if the recent price increase has caused you any inconvenience or dissatisfaction. If you would like to discuss your options or have any further questions about your subscription, please do not hesitate to contact our customer support team https://kb.acronis.com/content/8153

Thank you again for your feedback, and we hope to continue providing you with the best backup and security solutions in the future

I’ve been using the Acronis products for many years now and was always satisfied, even if the products were often a bit buggy before the first updated version. I want to thank you for that time. Now, however, Acronis is doing what Adobe did a few years ago, which is moving to an annual subscription model with a lower price and then an increase in price. So, even though I have good products such as Acronis Disk Director and True Image, it's time to say goodbye.

@Jose: Yes, for me, the price increase is also an inconvenience and dissatisfaction.

Fortunately, there are a couple of good and reliable products with alternative billing models available on the market. Btw, there's a company with a nice group of products for backup, hardware maintenance, and other jobs built in Germany since 1994—all positively tested.
