CPU usage

Thread solved

I have noticed recently that the fan on my Dell PC is running all the time whereas it did not used to as far as i remember. This is the case even if I close down all applications.

I looked in Task Manager and it shows 62% CPU usage and 69% memory usage. I attach a screen shot that shows 2 Acronis products accounting for 37% of CPU usage. In addition the other process using CPU was mainly Manage Machine Service Mini which I beleive is linked to Acronis and was showing 11.2% CPU

In all cases tak manger shows Power Usage as Very high.

Is this what I should expect to be seeing?

Hello John.

Those issues with the performance require an investigation.

I raised a ticket with our support so we can help you with the issue ( 05870086 ).

You can expect a contact from our side as soon as possible.

Thanks in advance!

It has been my experience that when malware updates and/or vulnerability assessment is running the Acronis services shown in your attachment run high.  Once these tasks complete things get back to normal.

John,

You should open a support ticket if this condition continues.  Have you restarted your computer by selecting Restart from the Windows Power menu?  Doing so often resolves unexpected behavior such as this.
