Disable Cyber Protect and Allow Windows Defender to provide real time protection

Thread solved

I've just upgraded to build 40729, and now find that after disabling cyber protection (as it severely impacts my system performance), that I am unable to enable Windows Defender Real Time protection. Clicking the togle does nothing.

John, welcome to these public User Forums.

If you don't want to use Acronis real-time protection then you are better advised to uninstall just that feature by performing a Change to the installed application (via the Control Panel > Programs & Features).

If Real-time protection is installed then it will register itself as the default security provider.
