Does AcronisCyberProtectHomeOffice disable Microsoft Defenderl in startup apps?

Thread needs solution

I noticed that the windows 11 task manager has Microsoft Defender disabled.  If I enable it then it is disabled after every reboot.  Looking at win11 security there seems to be no problem.  I did notice that ACPHO is excuded from Defender scans.  Why is that?

Hello Joseph.

Please check the following KB: https://kb.acronis.com/content/69488

Why does Acronis Cyber Protect Home Office replace Microsoft Defender app in Windows Security settings?

It is how Microsoft Defender was designed: it turns itself off automatically, if a second antivirus is installed.

If you prefer to use the Windows Defender please apply the suggestion of the tab that says: How to disable Antivirus and anti-malware protection?

Thanks in advance!
