How long backup keys can Acronis actually handle?
I've noticed that the number of problems we have with Acronis-backup seems to increase substantially when we increase the lenght of the protected backup key.
Something like:
6t!z4?tG$e$5fpCp
works somewhat ok but something like
Pz#$Mt3i?R3#AaLDMsapk8LGbTTp6F@b&y@yTEqT
would lead to a lot more failed backups.
How long keys, in characters, can Acronis actually support? High end PC with fast SSDs and lots of RAM BTW.

Yes, or "encryption for enhanced protection" as it is labeled in the GUI. Can't really comment for anyone else but for me, the error rate goes up noticable as longer the keys we use.

Hello Patrik.
There aren't any known issues related to that behavior or open cases.
That would require an investigation. Please raise a ticket with our support at https://kb.acronis.com/content/8153 .
Thanks!

Thanks. But considering there does not seem to be any known issues with the latest version of ACPHO either even though user seem to shun it based on what is written here, that perhaps does not say all that much. With the general problems that seem to affect the software and the service, it is hard to know what is causing what.
