Incremental backup not working

Thread needs solution

A couple weeks ago I started using incremental backup. It completed the first backup successfully.  Today I tried the second backup.  It told me the first backup was valid.  As soon as it started on the progress line it said Queued.  I let it fo for several minutes with nothing changing, so I stopped it and started again.  This time I let it run for several hours. Still nothing seemed to happen.  So what's going on?

I'm backing up to an external hard drive using Win10.

A Queued status would normally indicate that Acronis thinks another task is already active hence the new request has to be queued until that first task has reached completion.

You could try restarting the computer to see if that will resolve the issue and if that still fails, then you will need to download a copy of the Acronis Scheduler Manager tool (link below) and run this tool issuing a 'task zap' command in the command prompt type window it opens.  The task zap will remove all Acronis scheduled tasks including any phantom / orphaned tasks.

Note: you will need to reset the schedule for your backup task after using the tool, assuming you want to run it by schedule rather than just manually.
