Installation Failed - could not register module

Thread needs solution

Hello,

when I try to install ATI 2020 or the current Cyber protect, I get the following message:

"

 

Installation has failed. Wenn Sie eine Antiviren-Software installiert haben, schalten Sie diese probeweise aus und starten Sie die Installation erneut. Sollte das Problem weiterhin bestehen, kontaktieren Sie den Acronis Support. Fehler bei der Registrierung des Moduls C:\Program Files (x86)\Acronis\CyberProtectHomeOffice\ti_managers_proxy.dll. HRESULT -2147024703. Wenden Sie sich an den Support."

 

 

 I did try as Administrator and with disabled Antivirus.
Any Ideas what might be causing this?

I have some old backups that I need to access, but can not install ATI or Cyber protect.
Is there a .tibx reader?

Jan, all versions of Acronis (TI or CPHO) require that they are installed using an Administrator account in order to work correctly and have all required privileges / authorities granted.

Do you have any other security applications installed that could be getting involved during the installation?  Malware protection?

There is no separate TIBX reader - you either need to have Acronis installed or else boot your computer from bootable Acronis rescue media.
