Installation hangs

Thread needs solution

I uninstalled Cyber Protect and then tried to reinstall it and faced the same issue. It would get almost to the end, like 99% on the toolbar, and then just stop and not finish. Then I have to shut down the installer, and then run modify. I don't understand why Cyber Protect is so difficult to get to work.

Hello Candace.

I wanted to personally inform you that I have received your message about the issue you are experiencing with Cyber Protect.

I apologize for the inconvenience this has caused you. I have informed our technical team about your case, and we are actively working to resolve the issue as quickly as possible.

I understand your frustration with the process, and I assure you that we are doing everything we can to help you. If you have any further questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to contact us. We appreciate your patience and understanding.

Best regards, Jose Pedro.

Acronis is malware. You shouldn't need a command line uninstaller to uninstalll a program. And even when you run it it leaves behind parts of the software. Your engineering team is either incompetent or a bunch of crooks. Trying to unisntall your software bricked one system and took hours on the other, and even when getting the programs it still lists Acronis processes in the startup menu. You should be ashamed of yourselves.

Hello Candace.

We are sorry to hear that you have had a negative experience with our product.

However, we would like to clarify that Acronis is not malware, and we take the security of our customers very seriously. The command-line uninstaller is provided as an alternative method of removing the software for advanced users or for cases where the normal uninstall process fails (as in every software). We apologize if this was not made clear to you.

However, we are constantly working to improve our software and ensure that the uninstallation process is as clean and efficient as possible.

As mentioned on the email our support sent you will receive a refund regarding the product.

Thanks in advance.
