License Deactivated - Does It Still Work?

Thread solved

I would probably take me a month of Sundays to search for this so I'm asking you experts directly.  I am currently running Acronis True Image 2021 with a perpetual license for 3 PCs. If I upgrade to the new Acronis Cyber Protect Home Office with a 1 year subscription and then later decide after 1 year not to renew, does the application stop working or does it continue to work without updates?  Thanks in advance.

Mark, any Acronis subscription license will stop working if you do not maintain the subscription - there is a 30-day period when you would be able to recover any backups created to the Acronis Cloud, and you should be able to recover any backups stored locally beyond that, but all other functions / features will be lost, i.e. no new backups etc.

See KB 69390: Acronis Cyber Protect Home Office: licensing and upgrade FAQ which has more detailed information.

What happens if I don't renew the license?

New backups creation will be blocked, both for scheduled and manually created backups.

Already created backups, stored in Acronis Cloud, will remain available for recovery for 30 days. If you don't renew during this period, backups will be deleted without possibility of restoration.

Already created backups, stored in any other destination, will remain forever, and you will be able to restore them any time later in the future.

Already created Acronis Bootable Media will continue working. It can perform recovery of previously made backups.

All product functionality, except for recovery from earlier made backups, will be restricted until the subscription is renewed.
