Migration to new PC: Data Backup transfer / "register"?

Thread solved

I have 2 data backups, one is a complete drive the other is just a folder.
I will transfer both the drive (although with different letter) and folder to a new computer, so all the data will be "transferred offline".

What can I do that the "old online backups" get "associated/linked/registered" on the new system? (The old computer will not access the online backups anymore.) Or in other words, how do I tell Acronis Cyber Protect Home that I already have the data locally and it just should check for any differences?

Since I don't want to download the complete online backups or reupload everything again.

Jimmy, if you have backups stored in the Acronis Cloud servers, then on your new computer look for an 'Others' section in the list of Backups in the main GUI, which (assuming that you are signed in with the same Acronis Account) should show your Cloud backups.

Select the Cloud backup and Reconfigure the settings for that backup, i.e. select the Source data and the Options for the task.  Note: the normal 'Back up now' button will be shown as 'Reconfigure'.

Jimmy,

Assuming you still have the ability to use the Acronis application on your old PC you can save the backup settings to a file and then import those settings to the new computer which might help negate reconfiguration.

Download the User Manual Here and have a look at page 230 for instructions on how to do this.

Thanks a lot to both of you!!!

Now I have a personal problem, which one of you I should select for "mark as solution" :)
