No data to recover yet

I’m running ATI 2021 on Windows 11. I added another backup. (Entire PC) It ran to completion without error. When I click the Recover tab it says

“No data to recover yet. Create your first backup version to see its content here” 

I found procedure to fix this by renaming folder c:ProgramData\Acronis\TrueImageHome\Datebase. The the first step is to stop the Acronis Services via Task Manager. But when I try to do that I get message “This operation cannot be completed. The requested control is not valid for this service”

Any ideas? 

I am about ready to remove Acronis and reinstall it. If I have to do that I might as well look for an alternative product.

This is a known problem that can normally be resolved by following the procedure in KB 60918: Acronis Cyber Protect Home Office, Acronis True Image: adding a previously created backup to the backups list and selecting your new backup image file for your new 'Entire PC' task.
