Not seeing my SSD C drive

Thread needs solution

Hi All

First time here so please forgive me if i am asking a silly question.

Ok I have been using Acronis True Image Home for years and never had a issue until now, so I do know how to use the program so let me explain the issue

I had a issue with windows and had to reinstall windows 10 so then I reinstalled True Image Home, it seemed to have installed fine, but when I tried to make a clone of my C Drive and got to the part where you tell it what drive you want to clone, my ssd C Drive and also my back up ssd do not show up, all my other 4 hard drives do show ok (see jpg attached), all my drives including the ssd's show in windows disc management, and if I go to the add a new drive part they both show up (see jpg attached)

So what am I doing wrong please?

Bryan, welcome to these public User Forums.

From the limited information given I suspect that you are attempting the clone from within Windows which will require a restart into a limited Linux based Acronis environment which doesn't have the device drivers needed for your Kingston SSD's using their SSD Now technology and integrated processor.

I would recommend creating the 'Simple' version of Acronis rescue media which makes WinPE based media using files from your Windows Recovery Environment and test booting the computer from that media to see if it sees the two Kingston SSD's.  If it doesn't then you will need to add in device drivers for the drives which is best done by using the MVP Assistant tool.

See forum topic: MVP Assistant - New 2.0 with Rescue Media Builder (New Version 2.7.6)   for a link to download the tool.

Hello Steve,

Thanks for your answer, but I dont know how to create the 'Simple' version of Acronis rescue media can you help with that please?

Also I downloaded the MVP and it shows my 2 x ssd's ok, I did grap a screen shot of it but for some reason i couldnt upload it states " the file couldnt be uploaded "

Hello!

Please refer to the following KBs:

Note that this thread is not meant for Acronis True Image home (older/legacy version) but for Acronis True Image Home Office instead. If that's the case, check the following KBs: https://kb.acronis.com/content/1749, https://kb.acronis.com/content/1506.

Best regards.
