Question about subscriptions

Sorry if this is answered elsewhere, I couldn't find anything.

I used to upgrade True Image every 2 or 3 years and I was happy. I do not want to have to keep paying a subscription every single year.

If I paid for Cyber Home Office for one year subscription, then cancelled, what would happen to my current install? Would it still work but not be able to update? Or would it stop working?

I would like to pay for a year, cancel, then maybe start it up again in a few years. But keep using the old version in the meantime.

And are any permanent licenses available like before? Or just the subscriptions?

 

I really hate the subscription model.

Since 2021, we have changed our licensing model. We no longer offer perpetual licenses; instead, we have transitioned to a subscription-based model. For more details, please refer to the following KB article: https://kb.acronis.com/content/68375

Once a subscription expires, all product functionality, except for recovery, will be blocked until you renew your subscription. However, your backed-up data remains accessible for recovery purposes. To continue using Acronis Cyber Backup, you'll need to purchase a new subscription. You can find further information in the following KB article: https://kb.acronis.com/content/59749

In that case I will just continue to use True Image 2021 as long as I can, then move on to another non-subscription product, like Macrium. Your subscription model is too expensive and draconian,  bleeding your users dry.
