Recovery failing, whole drive, partitions, and individual folders

Thread needs solution

I am continually getting errors whenever i attempt to perform a recovery through the backups. It appears to be working for a while, however soon after it goes to a console, command prompt type screen which reads
"loading please wait...
no block devices found
reading all physical volumes. this may take a while...
libpng warning: iCCP: known incorrect sRGB Profile
libpng warning: iCCP: known incorrect sRGB Profile
[file name or something, i assume its very long]: operation: recovery
segmentation fault (core dumped)
                                                      139
                                                              revert out tty...success
revert in tty... success
[file name or something again]: stored GA client (application: ATI2023 module: linux_media session: DA06F669...[bunch of numbers]
collecting reports......." and goes on from there.

This happens when recovering both partitions and the entire drive, while when i attempt to recover files, it simply reads "completed with some errors" and no changes were made.

I will attach the system report file alongside this, however I would very much like to find out what is going on and how to fix it.

Justin, sorry but your system report information offers no real help as to what issue you have been seeing here - the log files are empty (zero length).

The only potential information that may be relevant here is in the disks.txt report which shows that you have a 7.3TB Seagate drive that is using a non-standard / non-Windows LDMM file system

The ACPHO has the following information:

Supported file systems

  • NTFS
  • Ext2/Ext3/Ext4
  • ReiserFS(3)1
  • Linux SWAP2
  • HFS+/HFSX3
  • FAT16/32/exFAT4

If a file system is not supported or is corrupted, Acronis Cyber Protect Home Office can copy data using a sector-by-sector approach.

When performing any disk level recovery, especially when the OS disk drive is involved, then this should always be performed using Acronis rescue media where this media is created to use Windows PE rather than using Linux to launch the media into the rescue environment.

Hello Justin.

Regarding the error code: "libpng warning: iCCP: known incorrect sRGB Profile".

This error can occur due to various reasons, such as incorrect BIOS settings, driver issues, or hardware problems.

  1. Check if the device you are trying to recover is connected and powered on properly.
  2. Ensure that your BIOS settings are correct and set to boot from the correct device ( reset the BIOS to the default settings may help ).
  3. Try to recover using the following Bootable media ( as correctly was suggested by Steven ) : https://kb.acronis.com/content/69427

Please let me know if that helped to solved the issue.

If the issue persists, feel free to contact our support line ( https://kb.acronis.com/content/8153  ) with pictures of the restore with the B.media and the system report of the same bootable media: https://kb.acronis.com/content/69418

Hope this helps.
