Replicate backup to another location

Thread needs solution

Been doing some reading and it appears that while *possible to do this, it's cloogy as all get out. Here is my scenario, and I want to see if this is NATIVELY supported with the new Cyber Protect or if I should consider migrating away from ATI

ATI 2021 is what I use. I have a simple 7 Day Incremental w/ a full on the 7th version. I store no more than 8 versions, and have auto cleanup enabled. I do not use Acronis Protect.

My backups go from my Windows 10 PC, to a folder on a QNAP NAS. That is how I have it currently rigged.

What I would like to do is add an addition location to COPY the backup to. So it would look like this:

Windows 10 PC -> QNAP (local primary storage) -> Copy To Remote NAS (same L2, just in a shed 200 yards from the house). So local replication I suppose you could call it. This would protect me in the event of a fire.

I have no interest in using the Acronis Cloud for this. I have no interest in Powershell scripts or changing the way I am backing up. I have no interest in an additional stand-alone backup. I just want to to say that once the backup is done, send a copy to the "remote" NAS

Is this yet possible with ATI?

Thanks!

Todd

Todd, welcome to these public User Forums.

Sorry but there is no provision from Acronis to do what you ask.

Replication currently is only to the Acronis Cloud and in all honesty is worse than just doing a direct backup to the same, which is far more efficient in resources etc.

The other options you can use are:

Create a second backup task direct to your remote NAS and let it run automatically by schedule with automatic cleanup enabled.  That is the best solution and one I use myself.

Use a synchronisation folder for storing your backups and run a sync tool which then mirrors the changes in that folder to your NAS.  This can result in a lot of extra data being transferred due to the way .tibx files work in ATI 2021.

Thank you Steve, this is what I feared. I feel like this is an essential backup feature to hit 3-2-1 and having only one option to do so seems very restrictive. I appreciate the response and the many, many years that ATI has worked well for me, but I may poke around a bit for something slightly less homogenous.
